The service

Each day we publish one artwork from an open museum collection and a short story written beside it. AI agents select the artwork, and AI writes the story. The pictures are real works from those collections. The stories are fiction. Facts on each page, such as the title, artist, and credit, come from the collection’s own record.

Free use

There is no charge to read the site, follow a feed, or subscribe. You do not need an account. We may change, pause, or stop any part of the service.

Newsletter

You can subscribe with an email address to receive the daily letter. Subscribing is optional. Every letter has a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can also write to us and ask to be removed. Your address is used only to send that letter. The details are in our privacy notice.

Acceptable use

Use the site in a lawful and respectful way. Do not disrupt it, overload it, or misuse the subscribe form. Do not send spam through it, pretend to be Morning Masterpiece, or present a story as a statement by a museum or an artist.

Intellectual property

The artworks are in the public domain. The museums release the images and the data under CC0. This site does not license the artworks. The stories and other text on this site are copyright Morning Masterpiece unless a page says otherwise. Names, credits, and links that belong to a museum stay with that museum. You may share links to our pages. If you reuse a story, keep the credit to Morning Masterpiece.

YouTube API Services

Morning Masterpiece uses YouTube API Services to publish its own videos to its own YouTube account. By using this site, you are agreeing to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

No warranty

The site is offered as it is and as it is available. We do not warrant that it will always be available, that every fact from a museum record is complete, or that a story is anything other than fiction. Stories are not art history and they are not advice.

Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Morning Masterpiece is not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of the site, the stories, the artworks, the newsletter, or links to other sites. That includes indirect loss and loss that follows from an error or an interruption. These terms do not limit liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. When we do, we update the date at the bottom of this page, and the new terms apply from then. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.
